I remind myself to be more like <Nature> daily. A tree does not ask itself if it is good enough or if its branches grew in a way that was beautiful. A flower does not question if its bloom is rich or if it is worthy. Nature is beyond the binary of good/bad right/wrong that humans often cling too.
We’re all missing the salon a lot at this point, and our hair might be showing it. If you’re in desperate need of a colour, want a bit of a pick me or just want to try something new, learning how to dye your hair at home is the answer. Doing a hair colour is nothing to be afraid of! So long as you’ve got the right materials and follow these tips, you’ll walk away from this feeling amazing. Before we begin, I’ll mention that I highly recommend getting in touch with your regular hair stylist to see if you can pick up/get dropped off your hair colour. This will ensure the best colour match of course, plus, your stylist would love to hear from you.
The bobby pins hands down!!! Strong enough to contain all this volume and really hold my hair in place, but they also slide out super easy without catching on my curls!! They’re truly a thing of wonder and beauty, I’m obsessed.
Q: What beauty advice would you give your younger self?
A: I would tell my younger self to do absolutely whatever they wanted. To buy those wild colours, mix prints, and be bold. I wasted so much time doubting myself and feared being judged by my peers, that I missed some crucial opportunities to express myself. Really, I would just encourage myself to be as weird and adventurous as my heart desired.
